Why did your scheduled post not go out?

There are a few reasons a post does not appear, and not all of them are yours to fix. Knowing which one it is tells you what to do.

You scheduled it, the time came and went, and there is no post. Most tools write “failed” at this point and go quiet. But “failed” is not one thing, and each cause asks something different of you.

1. Publish permission was never granted

Connecting an account and granting publish permission on it are not the same. Read access is enough for analysis; posting on your behalf is a separate permission. A channel can look “healthy” while publishing is still switched off. This is the fastest one to fix: turn it on from the account screen.

2. The platform's daily limit was reached

Every platform has a daily posting limit, and that limit belongs to your account, not to us. When it is reached the post is not lost, it is deferred. But if it is deferred repeatedly, something else is true: the number of channels in your plan does not match your production volume.

A post that keeps getting deferred is not a fault — it is a sign of the wrong plan.

3. The platform rejected the content

Duration, format, audio rights, cover image — the platform's own rules. Resending the same content is pointless; it will be rejected again. What helps is going back to the edit and removing the reason. Seeing the reason in the platform's own words matters: if our interpretation gets in the way, you will fix the wrong thing.

4. A compliance flag is unresolved

In a regulated profession, if the compliance scan flagged a sentence, the content does not publish. That gate is deliberate. Not publishing is protecting you.

5. The connection token expired

Social platforms grant access for a limited time. When it expires, or when you revoke it on the platform side, delivery stops. The fix is reconnecting the channel.

Peritara's publishing monitor separates these five cases and shows one primary button per row: go to the channel, back to the edit, check compliance, or retry. Offering three options means asking you which one is right.

The fastest way to judge any of this is to see it on your own account.
